As a neighbor to the Hoover Farm for a number of years, I have always enjoyed the distinctive landscape of this historic landmark. My interest is preserving this land from becoming the next housing development.
I have been involved in the Montessori school in Canton for a number of years and believe very deeply in its teaching philosophy. When the Hoover Farm became available to purchase, I envisioned a Montessori school on the property, with the program structured after the very successful Hershey Montessori School in Concord Township.
The acquisition of the Hoover property through the Sally Morse Dale Foundation gives me the ability to impact both the preservation of this historic property and to further a Montessori program in North Canton. The foundation will support the buildings, facilities and grounds around the school so we can offer a much reduced tuition rate making the school more affordable. My intention is for the foundation to be able to offer enough support that tuition of about $250 per month for pre-primary through Junior High would be sufficient.
