Fieldcrest is a unique independent school located in a unique setting. It is located on the historic Hoover Family Estate, Fieldcrest provides exceptional educational opportunities for children from six weeks of age through high school. Our 50 acre campus and stately buildings and barns are reminiscent of the legacy of our community’s past.

The school’s innovative Montessori program represents a blend of a school that is especially family friendly, a college preparatory curriculum with an emphasis on international studies, and a culture of collaborative learning.

The school has announced its plans to develop a Montessori-based International Baccalaureate Program at the high school level.

Fieldcrest consciously nurtures students’ curiosity, creativity, and imagination. It seeks to inspire a passion for learning, a sense of independence and self-motivation, strong values, a global perspective, and a life-long tradition of community service.

Fieldcrest Montessori School, in North Canton, Ohio, opened in the fall of 2006. We offer Montessori programs for infants as young as six weeks through grade 12. In 2009, Fieldcrest Montessori School was chosen to become the Lab School of The Montessori Foundation.

Fieldcrest Montessori follows the time tested and highly acclaimed educational approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in Europe. Over the last 100 years or so, it has spread all over the world to tens of thousands of schools.

Dr. Montessori believed education comes from within, driven by a natural curiosity and love of knowledge. Our students advance at their own pace, thereby maximizing the results of their efforts in our non-traditional classrooms.

It has been over 100 years since the first Montessori school opened its doors; we are so thankful for our knowledge of the luminous insights given to us so long ago by, Dr. Maria Montessori. We now understand that children around the world, in all strata of society, are capable of amazing things. They have the same developmental needs. When we take the time to observe the child in front of us, we allow them the grace of being honored for who they are.
