Scarlet Rue – Biography
Growing up in a family that didn’t value or protect children, I have made it my life’s mission to help people and to be an advocate, guide, protector and voice for children.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling. I have been involved in Education for the past 19 years. My involvement has included positions such as Parent-Teacher Organization President, tutoring, classroom assistant, chairing many events, educating staff on how to better help a child succeed in their classroom, counseling students, running peer groups, reading aide, staff development/support, facilitating classroom set-up and teaching students. I started and maintained a successful medical practice for a local specialist. Have worked in community counseling with underprivileged children and families and worked for 6 years in private practice serving children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked as a court liaison for several family court cases and have been a life coach for many individuals.
Personally, I am married to Jim Rue and on September 24, 2008 we will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We are the proud parents of 5 beautiful children. Our oldest son, Travis, is 23, a graduate of Mount Union College and is employed in his field of writing and marketing; our second son, Tyler, is 20 and a student at Akron University; our oldest daughter, Tara, is 18 and a student at Akron University and works at Fieldcrest as an assistant in the Infant Department; our middle daughter, Taylor, is 4 and a student in Miss Sabrina and Miss Ashley’s class and our little daughter, Tessa, is in the Toddler Department at Fieldcrest and enjoys spending her days with Miss Julie, Miss Dawn, Miss Bilkis and Miss Melinda.
